Here are a few answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any others!

Can you send out flags to me in the post/via courier?

No unfortunately we are not able to do this. Because of this our flags are only suitable to hire for events in the Gloucestershire area, as you will need to either pick up the flags yourself from our unit in Gloucester for self install, or pay a delivery charge from our Gloucester unit to your venue. Hence our hire is only economical if your event in close to Gloucestershire.

How big are the flags?
FestiFlags are approximately 6.5m tall, and 1.3m wide. Flag sizes vary slightly as they are all individually hand made.  (Flag  height quoted includes pole)

What type of ground can FestiFlags be installed on?
Our flags are versitile and suitable for various different types of ground. They are easy to install on grass, and the stakes leave small, barely noticable holes behind once they are removed (stakes are 20mm wide). The stakes can also be driven into flower beds, or other reasonably soft surfaces.

What if it rains?
FestiFlags are strong and colour fast, and can easily withstand the rain.

Are FestiFlags suitable for all weather conditions?
FestiFlags are suitable for most weathers, but may need to be taken down in some extreme conditions, for example if wind speeds go above 20mph (force 5).

What if one of the flags gets damaged?
Reasonable wear and tear is expected, and not a problem. If a FestiFlag gets damaged because it has been put up incorrectly, or in an inappropriate place, or vandalised then we may ask for a contribution towards repair.

How long do the flags take to put up?
Each FestiFlag will probably take about 5 minutes to erect, although you will get faster with practice if you are doing a lot! Flags can be put up by one person, but it is a little easier if there are two.

How many flags should I hire?

FestiFlags look striking alone, but even more spectacular in groups, especially in clusters and marching lines. For a wedding, for maximum effect we suggest at least 10 wedding flags, or ideally 20. However we are completely flexible and you can order as many or as few as you would like, depending on your venue and the look you are going for.

Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, we have full public liability insurance, up to £1 million.
